Advancing Health Equity
From Inequity to Opportunity - Moving health equity from a catchphrase to an actionable strategic priority with winnable outcomes for all stakeholders
Every year, millions of people—particularly in low- and middle-income countries—lose their lives or suffer from preventable medical conditions that could have been avoided with better access to and affordability of healthcare. The rising burden of chronic diseases underscores this critical challenge. While global life expectancy figures suggest progress, they conceal the stark disparities in health access and outcomes, both between and within countries. Health inequities are preventable

Fembridge - Closing the gender health gap
Health inequities leave women underdiagnosed, undertreated, ignored & underserved!
Women’s health has been benched for too long. It has been overlooked and dismissed. Healthcare & Medicine has for long operated on the assumption that male population is representative of the human population resulting in what is now recognised as the historical data gap in women’s health, which further exacerbates & perpetuates systemic bias, creating a system that perpetuates a disproportionate mortality & morbidity burden on women and girls.

Reduce & Redistribute the Unpaid Care Burden
Shaping an equitable care economy
Care burden falls disproportionately on women, who make up close to 80% of unpaid caregivers and spend close to 40 hours per week providing family care. An inefficient and unorganised care economy, patchy care infrastructure and high cost of care continue to drive unpaid caregiving while improving longevity and other demographic transitions in increasing the burden of care with most caregivers having to care for children as well as seniors. the care economy is failing caregivers currently. opportunities to reduce this unpaid care burden have to be identified and potential solutions scaled. capital, talent, policy and conviction has to converge!

Improving Access to Affordable Care
Closing the Care Access Gap to fix the Care Crisis
Care currently is an inequitable economy driven mainly by unpaid & underpaid care, while it continues to be expensive and unaffordable for millions. When unpaid care is difficult and paid care unaffordable, workers step up as caregivers. That means more and more caregivers are at risk of missing work and leaving the workforce or continuing to stay out of the workforce. Women, bear a disproportionate share of this burden of care, several times more than men, losing out on opportunities, living in poor health and compromising on their quality of life. Improving access to affordable care can no longer be ignored.

Visualising the Care Economy
Configuring strong responsive equitable care systems
Care is complex. But Care is also essential and lies at the core of all societies and economies. It impacts billions of people every day, at home, at work, in transit both as givers and receivers of care with more than 2 billion people serving as caregivers, primarily women & unpaid. Demographic transitions across the globe is expected to accelerate the need for care and unlock millions of jobs. Yet the economy remains invisible, hidden!
